The bad side of SOA?

You never know what Google alerts will turn up. I got this headline:

SOA Instructors Jailed for Involvement in Colombian Drug Cartel

Boy, you’d think there was enough demand for SOA that they wouldn’t have to turn to illegal activities. 🙂 For the record, this has nothing to do with the SOA that stands for Service Oriented Architecture. This SOA is the School Of the Americas. If you’re interested, here’s the link.

  • As the public affairs officer for the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (replaced the School of the Americas in 2001), I apologize that our opponents keep using the acronym that more appropriately now belongs to you. Nobody else uses WHINSEC, so we are good now. I’ll be in St. Louis on Sep. 20 to talk about the institute at SLUH, and at least one of those folks who still call us SOA will be there to dialogue.
