I've been thinking of adopting a dog, and walk dogs at Animal Shelter so getting to know them. Had thought of a mid-sized dog, because would like to take on long walks/hikes. However, a darling Pekingese arrived just today, someone had to give up, a 1 year old male. Would this make any sense? And do Pekingese mind spending their days outside (I'd prefer not to keep any dog closed up if I'm out for a long day). Also, have two cats. How are these dogs with cats?
