I have an 8 month old peke with lots of hair.
But in the past few days I have noticed he is losing
hair on the top of his head. Closer examination last
night found 3 or 4 fleas in the balding area. It was
also red. I have noticed him rubbing his head on the
cage, I'm assuming he was scratching. He is also getting in
his adult coat so he is losing hair. Can the "balding"
be attibuted to the fleas, the rubbing or just losing
his puppy coat? Any suggestions? I will be giving him
a flea bath tonite. They shouldn't be a problem since
we have no carpets or rugs and his has been on Program
for the past 2 months.
