Pekingese Q&A Board: losing fur

My 4 month old peke is losing her fur left and right it seems. I noticed today that she has lost so much fur under her chin (on her chest) that I can see some mottled skin is showing. Is this normal? The mottled skin concerns me, and I'm worried. Also, what about all this shedding????
