I am sure follow up with a good vet will handle this skin care problem. Contact cornell university in new york state, if all else fails. That was terrible person who came down on you abour purchasing pup in pet shop. I totally understand your feeling. Almost did the same thing last week. My beloved dog died in July and I wandered into a pet shop and there was a peke puppy.. The place seemed reliable, clean and so forth. I held this little darling and it was hard not to buy it on the spot. I didnt, because "I know better." But, you know I will wonder for a long time if that was right decision. It would have been a "rescue" to have sheeled out the money, an amount that I fortunately can afford, and to have taken the puppy home. Why? because I know that it would have had a wonderful home. So I walked out of there an continuelooking for a reliable bredder. Did I make the right decision. Who knows. Good luck with you new puppy. Don't pay attention to people who don't see things from both sides.
