Hi everyone. We have a wonderful male peke (registered) who is 1 and 1/2 years old.
We don't personally know any other pekes, but at a recent dog show
we attended, the pekes there were "all fur" - really puffed out and very
long hair. Our male does not look like this - he has a mane and beautiful
long haired tail, along with "feathers" on front and back legs, but his
body hair has remained relatively short. Does it take years for the fur
to get that long?
Are there different classes of this breed? Just curious - we love him
dearly and he is really beautiful. We are also interested in breeding
him. He is fawn/sable with a black mask. Any takers?
