Look into your local peke shelter, these web pages or post a listing for a loving home for an older dog no longer vital to someone's breeding program but still in need of a great home. Be prepared to have a sterilized dog as most RESPONSIBLE breeders sterilize their dogs before sending them to a home that though they approve of, they can't control!
