Pekes and other long coated, double coated breeds will, what we call:
Blow Coat. It happens at around 6-9 months for puppy coat. For adult
females it usually happens after every heat cycle due to hormones or
after a litter is weaned. For males it usually happens less. If your
pup is pekeapoo it may not carry a double coat. That means it doesn't
have the fluffy undercoat, it happens in some pekes too. Any dog that
carries a single coat, unless a terrier or nonshedding breed, will shed
constantly, like beagles & boxers. If you have a female spaying it will
slow the shedding. Otherwise my only suggestion is to keep brushing.
