I don't know where you find peek-a-poos, but we have had one for 19 years now. (both his parents were peek-a-poo's as well) He was a wonderful companion for many years. He is now quite old and is pretty near blind and only hears high pitched sounds. About all he does now is sleep and eat. He was one of the best companions a person could ask for. We took him everywhere. He loved to ride in the car and He loved to go camping. My children always said we cared more about him than them and I would tell them, he didn't give us a hard time. He doesn't appear to be in any pain and until that happens we intend to keep him around. We have the laundry room carpeted and a gate on the open door, he stays in there because he bumps into things. He still will take off running so we also have a small area outside for the same purpose. A friend of mine calls it the handicap area for squeaky (that's his name)

We now have a Pickingnese. He is also a wonderful little dog, although he hates to ride. We have moved to the "country" as we call it and we don't camp anymore, so it works out fine.

Good luck in finding a peek-a-poo. I highly recommend them.
