I wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to share info with me concerning the loss of our male peke. The loss was too significant to wait long for a baby peke, and I would like to introduce our new baby: Ty-Yang. We will never forget Pybus, we tend his grave and think of him often. I too agree our loss was similar to losing a child, and Ty-Yang is not a replacement, he is another ray of sunshine that lights up our lives!! Our female peke is beginning to play with Ty, and coming out of her depression. She is back to her regular feeding schedule and spends little time at Py's grave. I thought the transition would be difficult for her, but it appears she welcomed the distraction. I have a question about size, Ty is eighteen weeks old and four and a half lbs.. Princess and Pybus were both this size at twelve weeks old. Someone told me small pekes can "catch up" with their growth by their sixth month, does anyone have more information on this?? I am not worried about him, the vet said he checked out fine, she just mentioned that since he was so small, he needed to be treated as a younger pup for vaccines etc... I'd appreciate any info on "smaller" pekes. Thanks, Suzanne
