Please do not buy your pekingese from this pet shop, there are alot of breeders out there that have good healthy purbred pekes for sale, some may even have older ones that want to retire them and place in homes, contact breeders around you, Todd has an excellent list of breeders as well of Rescue Pekes, there are numorouse pekes in SPCA, and adoptive homes waiting for someone to love and take them home, Todd also has a list of rescue places, as do other breeders that read this O&A board of Todds, I'm sure someone will help you out, if not contact me privately and I will see what I can do for you.
