i got my first peke at the age of 12. I learned to groom him and then decided to show him. He has always had problems with ulcers in one eye but i just learned to medicate it. with any breed there will be problems the personality and companionship of a peke outweighs any problems one could perceive. I groom my peke once a week or so for about an hour. he plays outdoors alot and gets along well with my two english mastiffs.
He has been my companion for 12 years and i could not imagine life without him.
