I too, just lost my Peke, Diojeigh. (5/31/98) I definately know how you are feeling, and it hurts. Being in college, sometimes he was the only one to calm my nerves. Unfortunately, Diojeigh had to be put down, due to recent severe seizures. I had just returned from vacation, only to pull into my garage and see my little baby in a grand mal seizure. (It was the 3rd that month) My mother was holding his head talking him through it, and I quickly took over when I arrived, But he was in too much pain. He was whimpering and had real puppy tears running down his face. He had totally changed since the second seizure he had and almost seemed to hang on until I got there. (the last seizure lasted over 2 hours, right up until they put him down)I was there with him, and brought him home to be buried.
Does anyone else know of someone who has had an epileptic peke? (That's what the vet told me my dog had).
As far as other dogs go, My parents have a Rat Terrier, Squirt, and today when I went out to check on her, I found her sleeping on Diojeighs grave. Talk about heartbreaking; it brought on a whole new set of tears. What was even sadder, was that Squirt had taken her favorite toy with her (The one she always hid from Diojeigh) and this time, she left it on his grave. I wonder if she knows. She's real sad and quiet.

I hope you feel better and in time, I am sure I will too...
