Hello! I am just so excited to find this message board. I love my Pekingnese, I got her in absolutely the wrong way (pet store) but I must be incredibly lucky because she is the sweetest, most amazing little dog, I never knew I could love a dog like this. I am interested in the rescue idea - what is this all about? I would love another Peke and I know Peaches would love a buddy, she loves other dogs, kids, adults, just about everybody actually.
PS - I have never purchased a dog at a store before and I know those of you who know anything about it are probably horrified, but it was Karma, I swear. I saw this dog "in the window", held her a little and petted her, put her back and didn't think anything of it until the next day when at was at the dentist of all places, and I had an inexplicable urge to go buy this dog. It was bizarre. So I did! And she is my best friend, my comfort, my baby! Like I said, I am so glad to have found you all so that I can learn more about her. Thanks!
