Check with the airline your fling on. They will somethimes rent one if this is a one time thing for you. If not go a head and buy a hard one that will fit under an airline chair. Remember this is for your Pekes safty as well as everyone elses. A seditive is usually a good idea. I'm sure your vet wouldn't recommend it if he thought it could harm your pet. You just want to take the edge off the experience and keep them calm. I've flown my Peke before and everything was just fine. Alot of breeder also fly Pekes (over 6 mo.) to new owners or handlers routinly. It's good your concerned, but you can usually trust your vet or calm your fears by talking to more than one.
