I use witch hazel on some cotton. Squeese the cotton good so the witch hazel can't get in the eyes. But firmly rub the deep fold with the cotton soaked witch hazel. It works for mine! Irene

She is sweet as she can be, friendly, outgoing and loves attention. She and my daughter are practically inseparable. She takes her out on the swing, pushes her around the yard in the wheelbarrow and they are just great friends.
> I have two problems though. It's obvious from reading other postings that they have eye problems. The only trouble is, she smells so bad, because of the fold under the eye. My vet says to wash the area once a day with warm water and a soft cloth. I do it regularly, but must admit I don't do it everyday. Is there something that can be used safely to help eliminate the odor with the washing? If anyone has a suggestion I would be grateful. She's too cute to smell so bad!!! The other problems is that she is absolutely petrified of storms. The poor thing just can't get close enough to one of us, trembles, and her little heart races a mile a minute. Is there something I can do to help her get over her fear? I feel so sorry for her. thanks ahead of time for any advise. Pekes are new to us and really don't know much about the breed. have had many other breeds, but never a Peke.
