> The question is..do you mean Epilepic Seizures? Our Peke started having light ones at about 3years of age and our vet didn't want to believe that it was anything serious, except maybe an overreaction of mine. It went along for about 1/2 Year and then she had a Grand Mal losing Urine and Stool, thats when the vet said it could be a light form of epilepsy, but she didn't want to put Phoenix on regular medication, because the side effects on Liver and such too risker are. Her seizures became worse and more often, I didn't feel comfortable during them and only with rectal Valium in case a very bad Seizure. So I changed the vet and we have her on Phenobartital only 15mg a day. We tried reducing after a few month to only 7,5mg but after 3 weeks she had another seizure. Since we have given her this medication she has no longer had any problems. After we started the med. she was less active and we had to make sure that she didn't start getting fat. After 2 weeks she was back to normal.

I also have a peke that has seizures. We now have had everything under control for 2 yrs. He still has a small seizure every now and then exp. bottom jaw shakes a little but nothing serious. I know how it feel to have to go though this ordeal. I have been very protective with him every since this has happen because I am always afraid that he could have another one. I have him on 30mgs of phenobarital daily. We have had to raise his level of the drug since he went on it 3 xs. I hope everything is going good with your lil peke.
