Myself being a breeder I would like to think that Pekingese are smart dogs.
Infact, most of mine can be taught very easily but with this breed they
also carry a stubborn trait. Genetics play an important role...!!!
One does not have to spend hours training them to do the basic obedience
sit, stay, come commands but has to spend hours with them if they
decide to play on you rather than play with you. Stubborn at times....
