My peke does the same thing. Many nights I have not been able to sleep because of her snoring. Fresh air seems to help her a little, I usually open the bedroom window just a crack. She also comes up to sniff and kiss me and ends up blowing snot in my face. This is a rude way to be woke in the morning. After 7 months I hve grown used to it and it no longer bothers me as much.
