I currently have 2 pekes, ages 1 & 2. I previously had 1 girl that
I had for 12 years(Muffy), and she was full grown when I adopted her. I was
so afraid when I had my first child how Muffy would react. She had
never really had to compete for my affection, and I worried that she
would be jealous. She was always a very snappy dog. She was fantastic
with my son. She allowed him to drag her around by her tail for a long
time. It was like she knew that he didn't know any better. As he got
older, she trained him on how not to treat her by snapping at him, and
actually making contact with her mouth, but never breaking the skin. She
was great. My dogs I have now, have contact with my 2 year old step son,
and Bo isn't near as patient with him as Muffy was with my son. Good luck
