I have never heard of a dog causing any problems during pregnancy. The
only thing that you should consider is that you will be raising your
new child and your new puppy at the same time, which can be quite
challenging. Small dogs are not always the best dogs for small
children, so you may consider waiting a little while. If you do get
the peke, make sure you have some help in caring for the puppy, since
you'll be busy with your baby, and also make sure that the peke and
the infant are not left unsupervised.
