I also have two female Pekes approximately 4-1/2 yr old. One of them has had seizures for the past year. They also last approximately 5 min. When I took the one to the Vet she said they would have to run a bunch of tests. I said I would think about it. I wold like a vet to give some suggestions w/o suggesting tests to run which put the dog at risk, could cause considerable discomfort and seem only to run the $ figure up. I hold the girls and talk to them. When I talked to a breeder concerning the problem and any connectin to heredity she didn't know but said one of her dogs not related to mine has suffered seizures and when the Vet routine. No meds for the dog and no real good suggestions. There are times that I wish the Vets would treat us with more respect, not suggest a bunch of tests and give some real targeted advice. I realize that the threat of lawsuit might seem real to them but some of us have a rudimentary understanding of animal care and care enough to learn......
