We have a 5-year old pekingnese and he is the best thing we have ever owned. We bought him when he was 5 months old from a pet store. We weren't looking for a dog when we bought him. We had just happened to stop at a mall on our way to the shore and we went in this pet store. He was the saddest looking dog in there. The owner talked us into taking him into the play room and he kept pulling down our 2-year old daughter's panties. Well, we just had to buy him. He is great with our two daughters. They dress him up in play clothes and everything. The only thing is that he seems to be afraid of heights. Whenever they put him on the top bunk, he throws up. He has never showed aggressive behavior of any kind. He is also great with all 6 of my nieces and nephews. As for the shedding, that is a problem. He does shed constantly. If you brush them every day it seems to help. I hope I've answered some of your questions.
