> I have searched for a couple of years now for a Pekingese. I finally found one in my area. The people said they weren't going to register these puppies due to they were interbred. (Father & daughter). Should this be a major concern, it doesn't sound good. The female puppie is so cute & black - which I have never before seen a black Pek. Thanks for your input.

Pekingese make wonderful pets whether they are champions or not. Just because your Peke is the outcome of linebreeding; doesn't mean that it's no good. It also doesn't mean that it can't be registered. There is nothing wrong with linebreeding; so long as it is done by someone experienced. I wouldn't recommend just anyone linebreeding. Although if there are going to be genetic problems with a linebred puppy; they are most likely, quite obvious. Also, there is nothing wrong with a black Peke. In most cases, they make some very beautiful Pekes. A pure black Peke just isn't very common. Very difficult to come by. Consider yourself lucky and honored to be owned by such a Peke. Remember; PEKES are what DREAMS are made of !!!
