I have owned a female for one year and although she is a very loving
dog to me she gets kind of moody wtih my six yearold son. We got
her from someone else that had children and they played with her
very roughly often pulling her tail. I think this is the reason she
reponds to him the way she does. If your relative gets a puppy
and lets it grow with the children maybe she will have better luck.

As for the shedding, my pekingnese is black and white and sheds
quite a bit, but isn't as bad if I brush her regularly.
