Fourwinds Herbie-Ho DeBrave

January 3, 1989 - February 24, 2003

Herbie was my pekingese for nearly 14 years. I purchased him from the Jackson's at Fourwinds Farm in Seneca, IL after my sophomore year in college; he was just shy of 6 months old. In those years, he saw me get a bachelors and a masters degree, racked up over 20,000 miles in airplanes trips from California to the midwest and back, managed to be in St. Louis for our wedding (he was supposed to be in Chicago), and made both of my kids giggle when they were 7 months old (which was pretty good, considering that was just one month before his death in the case of Spencer). He was truly a joy. As I dig up photos and scan them in, I'll post them here. In the meantime, here's a video from 2 years ago that will always be treasured by my family. He had a special knack for making my daughter Elena giggle.
